I am working on the Nerdy's Geckolib plugin for 2025.3 EAP, I hate MCreators model and animation system. they could've done better however the new way to animate in Blockbench because of it sucks! i have already updated the Nerdy's geckolib plugins NeoForged generator to 1.21.8 and the geckolib api to 5.2.2 and the MCreator version to the 2025.3 EAP it loads and recompiles successfully. I just need some help with some UI Elements like geting the geckolib tab at the top to show so i can import the animations and models.
(EDIT) I have completely rewritten the code and updated the plugin for MCreator 2025.3 for both NeoForge 1.21.8 and Forge 1.21.8 and it works perfectly, i still haven't fully tested the animated armor, animated entity, or animated item yet, but the animated block is fully working and it now uses geckolib 5.2.2 so you need the new GeckoLib Models & Animations plugin for Blockbench to make your models. also please dont add this to any existing workspaces as it will not compile correctly, so please make a new workspace.
I also made a 1.21.8 Forge Generator Plugin if you prefer forge and yes it fully tested it and it works perfectly with the new updated Nerdy's GeckoLib Plugin Reborn! so if you need it i will post it in my github sometime soon. also i added a built release of the Nerdy's GeckoLib Plugin Reborn in the github repository releases so you dont have to try to compile it yourself.
is it in gradle?
Hey, any chance I'm able to find this version u made?
is it still in development or has it been released?
bro i need this so much, this is great! please keep updating us for when your nearly done
bro you are the hero now you will help not only me but many others when you will updated this plugin to 2025.3 Thank You Soooo Much
Man this dumbahh didn't post the link. I accidently found it on github. Get it guys:
https://github.com/CBJaxxx/Nerdy-s-Geckolib-Plugin-Reborn
Though now the question is how to build? If anyone knows, please reply to this, thanks
somebody needs to make a pre-compiled version cus damn I hate this, I don't know how to compile for Linux.
compiled version
I haven't released the link since this is still a work in progress, there is a whole overhaul with how the Geckolib 5 mod is used and those changes are massive, basically the nerdy's geckolib plugin needs to be stripped down to its skeleton and rebuilt which is why he never updated it. as much as i want to bring this back it may be beyond my skill level. ill keep trying and maybe one day i can release it but don't hold your breath
keep us updated
Can somebody compile and build the source code because the one shrimp liquid sent doesn’t work
HELLO EVERYONE. Major work has been done towards updating the plugin. I have updated it from geckolib 4.7 to geckolib 5.2.2. i have not tested the forge 1.20.1 version at all but i will try to save it for now and let it use geckolib 4.7 but im not sure if i can update that for sure. however i have fixed over 200+ errors from the first time i put the plugin on github and it compiles and most of the ui elements work and you can import geo models and animations it even allows you to enable the geckolib api in the workspace settings and it even refactors correctly and the mods do compile and run showing geckolib 5.2.2 in the mods list when in the client. here are the issues currently i am updating this from MCreator 2023.4 to MCreator 2025.3 for neoforge 1.21.8 but MCreator has updated and changed their code so ui is registered in different classes so i have to fix that because when you try to create animated blocks or other elements from the plugin it lets you give them a name but when you go to create it nothing appears in the workspace and the block is not created. this is the main issue currently. we are very close and i am uploading a compiled version to the github now. PLEASE READ: use at your own risk and do not use this in your main workspaces as it could corrupt them
I think I love you
yo
do you by any chance have plans on making it for NeoForge 1.21.1 for MCreator 2026.1?
