really need help with a horror arg mod for minecraft java using mcreator as a beginner(not the dweller kind)

Hey! So I'm new at the modding scene of Minecraft. (Java) And have seen alot of talented people make super cool mods, especially horror mods too. And was wondering on how I would start one. Now I have been told before, that when starting as a complete newbie and/or beginner. I should start with basics. Like ores, textures, make your custom food item, custom tools. And I understand that I'd probably need to learn like that starting off, but my brain is very impatient, and was wondering if a mod, similar to wonderland.jar, not a copy whatsoever, but to be inspired by someone who is talented. And yes, as a kid, I did use Scratch. But that was long ago, the reason why is because it also uses Procedures as Mcreator does. And certain things, for an example:

Is that I would want an entity, to spawn and stare at the player, till that player looks directly at it for it to vanish.
Stuff to make a mod subtle which would be door knocks, stone mining when strip-mining, mobs to stare at you for a while, and I know this isn't new due to things like that being in other mods. But as a first time modder and wanting to start off strong with a horror ARG, and obvously adding more as I go, I do want to have a mod that is inspired by a few talented modders, and I just seem to struggle with procedures.
There are tutorials on the likes of Youtube. But, the closest one I could find, would be Pixel coder's made in one hour video. But nothing exactly what I would want. I have asked google ai and chatgpt, but because I use 2026.1 since I have just started, the ai gets the names wrong and thinks I'm on an older version, which makes me do half of the procedures only for me to not find one or two things I'm looking for, making me scrap that whole procedure.

So if theres any talented and amazing people on this site who would kindly show images of certain procedures on how to do certain stuff, like really cool ideas, I would greatly appreciate it, I would love to become apart of you people and learn as a beginner to making awesome horror mods, thank you

1.For it to spawn and stare,…

1.For it to spawn and stare, you use the ai and goals section. If you want this entity to do more than this then you can either make multiple entities, one for each of the different things you want it to do. Or you can use conditions within your ai and goals but I'm not well versed in that.

To spawn and stare, somehow spawn it in using whatever conditions you want. Depending on the distance it will be from the player. Use the ai task, look at nearby entity of type (player) in size (eg 20, however far it spawns away or so). For it to despawn when looked at. Run a procedure on player tick update, get the x y z raytrace look position of event/target entity (the player) with distance (however far the entity can be), and check if entity of subtype (staring entity) exists at that location. If so despawn it.

2.Knocks and sounds are just sounds. Get some sound files and use conditions to play them. Use another tick update and play sounds, based on random numbers, biomes, y levels etc.

3. Staring would just be the same look at nearest entity task, and use some condition to activate and deactivate it. Can't do that to vanilla mobs though. But you can override their look direction and make them stop for example. That's more complex though unless there is procedure blocks I'm forgetting. Because you would need to calculate the angle between your position and the entity you want to stare at you.

If you give me some more detail on what you want I can make you a quick procedure.

Thanks man, yeah. I was wondering to have one of them Spawn in and stare directly at the player, either move slowly towards the player, or just not move at all, I'm fine with either. And upon a player looking directly at this entity will cause it to vanish. No effect or blindness, just a sudden vanish. Either instant or waits a second before vanishing upon looking. Sorry that I'm very confusing as that I am a complete newbie at Mcreator in general. And I have been asked before to work on smaller things, but I'm kinda craving the horror vibe since everyone is so inspiring.

door knocks are just a random event I would want to happen. There would be more, but I'm not great on ideas, and I'm not sure what the procedure of a random event is (basically common, uncommon, rare)

I'll probably add a bunch more entities, just want to know certain basics of procedures such as vanish upon looking, random event procedures, sounds, all that. Sorry I talk alot, not used to talking to people and I really appreciate the response, if my message is too complicated, I apologise. Also I'd probably add Dimensions, but I'll probably leave that whenever i know abit more about how to use mcreator, thanks again man as again if this is all confusing, my bad
