Follow Item in Hand, "Ingredient can't contain air" Error

When using Mcreator 2026.2 on version 26.1.2, there seems to be an error with the "follow item in hand" Ai task block. Specific items used in this Ai task block will cause the "Ingredient can't contain air" error in the console when trying summon the entity. The entity will not spawn from a mob egg and if using the /summon command, the in-game text will say "Unable to summon entity". After this happens, the game does not crash but the player becomes unable to break blocks etc. This seems to only be the case with specific items, such as tropical fish and poppy. I have not yet found any correlation between the items that cause this to happen. I tested it with a completely new living entity and still received the same error.
