@#3 I don't know how to make models in Blender. And how to make device that turns one block into other? I'm work on rainbow woods, and speed boosters for now.
@CAHEKa, I can help you with making a device to change a block into another and a 3D Block from Blender. Just say the word and I can help with that.
Also Maybe you can make it special ores that contains what is needed to make colored and animated colored wood

@#5 I have a idea: 9 dirt dusts -> Dirt (not from mod), 8 dirt dusts around coarse dirt (in center) -> Dirt Block 2 (new dirt block from mod), you need craft an item that converts dirt block in real one (in craft recipe for an item will be Steel, that I added and Super diamond). I know that hard to understand (or not), I will make image with recipes.

I had another idea in mind.
You could make growable ores, however, every time you break the plants that grow the ore you only get a fragment. Then you would need 9 fragments for a single material (coal, iron, gold, lapis lazuli, nether quartz, diamond, emerald, redstone and any other ores that are in your mod.) Your idea though sounds pretty cool. :D :) (: C: c:
