I have the same problem
Just get a 64-bit computer. And the reason why it is taking a lot of time is because Minecraft Forge has a lot of tasks to do and MCreator is unstable on 32-bit computer.
@#2 I have a 64-bit computer and I still have these problems.
Same problem... 64-bit and takes forever, can't even run it
i have the same problem - win10 64bit
disconnect from internet then run mcreator and it will not take long to connect then just reconnect to ur internet
When I do that, it always crashes during the decompiling of my forge zip.
im having the same problem on my mac i left it running on there for 5 hours and it is not loading after that :(
Alas, so I'm not alone. I'm having the very same issues - as of a day or two ago, the program suddenly stopped being capable of connecting to Pylo servers, and I can't compile anything now without it failing due to it insisting that I don't have certain files in the download cache (or something along those lines). Keep in mind that this literally quit while I was still in the process of using it. I made an item for ammunition, it compiled fine, then I went to go make a gun, and then suddenly it stopped working and started giving me these errors. Now I can't even start MCreator unless I have my wifi turned off. If I try to compile while it's offline, it won't do it because it's offline, but if I try to connect offline then go back online and compile, I get this mess.

I'm really just beginning to think some of their servers are down and no one has done anything about it yet.
This problem seems to be with the Pylo servers. I have the same issues and my computer has 8gb of Ram with latest video graphics and I have 65mbps download speeds with 10mbps upload. Hopefully there will be a fix.
This bug was fixed on the server side. Now MCreator won't get stuck on the "Connecting to Pylo servers" on the start screen. Just try to launch it again and it should work.
If your current solution was to disable network and start MCreator, there is no need to do this anymore.
