80 ideas for mcreator

Here are some ideas:

some of these ideas are already implemented in mcreator but with coding and others are only shortcuts. 

A: added in newer versions

1- mod element search: A

I've made lots of elements in my mod and it is hard to find an element. So please add a search bar. With it you can edit elements faster. 

2- custom buckets: A

Please add a feature for make an optional bucket when you are making a new fluid. It's like a shortcut. 

3- structure mob: 

Please add a feature that allows you to make a mob made from structures (like wither and golem).

4- creative tab:

Please add a function that allows you to put some items in custom creative tab: plants and igniters in custom creative tabs! 

5-easy GUI:

It's hard to make a chest: input button by input button,  input but by imput button... Please add a fast input button generator. 

6-more fishes:

Please add a feature that an item can be fished. 

7- chest generation:

Why have you removed the feature for making items generated in dungeon chests?  Re-add that fefolders

8-Always eatable food (steve isn't fat):

Please add an option to make a food always eatable (like potions or golden apples).

9-rotation blocks:

Please add a feature for making blocks auto rotate to player's head when placed (like pistons) without coding; 

10- custom tradings:

Please add a feature for making custom trading easily. 

11-default models:

Please add more default models for blocks (for now they are normal and cross)  for making custom blocks without use custom models: stairs,  doors,  slabs etc. 

12-horse armor:

Please add a way to make new horse armors. 

13- structure compatibility:

Please add a feature that you can't only import schematic files but also minecraft structure block's files. 

14- Brewing recipes:

Please add a feature for making new brewing recipes. 

15-easy book:

Please add a way ti make book GUI easier. 

16-ore dictionary :

Please add a way to add ore dictionary to a block/item and make ore dictionary recipes. 

17-end ores:

Please add a feature for making new ores in the End. 

18-inventory-items:

Please add a feature for making item inventories (like 1.11 shulkbox) 

19-change nbt event:

Please add an event for changing an item/block nbt data. 

20-jump event: A

Please add a way for make a jump event (for not teleporting because you can be trapped into a block) . Now I put A because you can use fast Levitation effect instead.  

21-custom home:

Please add a feature for making new main menu styles (like the aether 2 mod).

22-more igniters:

Please add a feature for make a portal ignited by an item already added. 

33-single event remover:

Please add a way for removing only one event and not all of them. 

34-ender-like portals

Please add a feature for making end-like portals.

35-area destruction

Please add an option for tools to break into an area (the size is customizable: 2x2, 1x10 (for making treecapitator-like axes), etc). 

36-area damage (relative to 35)

Please add an option for choose if the tool takes damage for each block destroyed with area or only for the selected block. 

37- other tools breaking

Please add more options for the "tool requiried" for breaking blocks, like hand, shears, or custom (with an item choosen by the mod creator). 

38 - no egg

Please add an option for the mobs for having no eggs so you can make vehicles (in 1.7.1+) without making a weird egg (like MineCar egg). 

39- colors and music

Please add a feature for making custom dyes and music discs.

40- texture folders (kwpugh's idea) 

Please add a feature for divide textures for workspace but also in custom folders for organize better folders

41- riding center

Please add a feature for choose where the player rides a mob, it will be cool for making vehicles

42- cool swords

Please add an event for tools "when mob attacked with" so you can make swords with cool effects. 

43- rotation events (relative to 9)

Please add a feature for rotating events on the direction of the block (like pistons, droppers, comparators etc.) 

44- When mod damaged/killed event Please add 2 new events for tools: when mob damaged with tool and when mob killed with tool

45-block damage variations Can you add a feature for making lots of different blocks with the same id but with different damage (like wool)?

46-change texture A new event that changes texture

47-Advanced rilevation Please add that in the condition hasplayeritemininventory can be but the minimal number required of items

48-Advanced consuming Please add that can be consumed more than an item by the event

49- More Block-diversity Please add a feature for putting more blocks in a new dimension or new biome.

50-coloured light Please make that a block can emit coloured light

51-custom tags Please add a feature for making custom tags and for editing and checking tags of a block. It will change EVERYTHING.

52-duplicate mod element Useful if you are making lots of similar items

53-rename mod element Never wanted to change the ID of a thing?

54- gui image change Please add a feature for changing the texture of a GUI (example: editing it with paint.net and making it broen instead of gray)

55 - tool range (mega1134227's idea) An option for customizing the range of a tool or a weapon. 56- area weapon Pleae add a feature for making that some weapons (ranged or not) always do ranged damage.

57-recharge Please add a feature for making weapons with charge, like boomerangs and spears.

58- mirrors Please add a feature for making an item reflecting. And also a reflection value, for making mirrors or shiny blocks

59- crafting recipe unlocking In 1.12 were added some tutorials on crafting recipes. These recipes aren't all unlocked when the player has the right materials: for example, the boat is unlocked when the player swim for the first time. So, when you update MCreator to Minecraft 1.12,can you make an option for customizing this?

60-banner custom mod elements If you can, please add a feature dor making that an item can be customized with banners (like shields). This can be useful for making custom banner beds, banner blocks, etc.

61-custom banner flags Please add a feature for adding more flag types (colored shapes, like the creeper flag made from the creeper head) for banners and their crafting recipes.

62-part brightness Please make a feature for making that a block is luminous... But not at all. For example, I want to make an ore that emits particle only from the ore, and not the stone... Like spider or enderman eyes... For making very cool ores that can be found easily on the darkness or coll night decorations!

63- more pulling textures

please add the option for guns for making more textures when it is shooting (like bows)

64 - block spawning
Please add a feature for specying which block will substituite the generated block (example: iron ores is generated instead of stone and this feature can be useful for sandy ores or gravel ores, like the Tinker's Construct mod)
65-item tick rate
Please add a feature for changing an item tick rate lile blocks.
66-common events
Please add a feature for making common events in a thing like the vatiable editor. Common events can be activated by normal events.
67-weapon loading texture
In vanilla 1.9 was added a new damage system for weapona based on timing. Can you add a feature for making that when the sword is loading the super hit it has a different texture?
68-dropper events
Can you make a feature for making custom dropper events for items and blocks? Like arrows, eggs, command blocks, etc.
69- bow-like guns (Jarglo33 True's idea)
An option for making guns being held like bows
70-no portal (Jarglo33 True's idea)
An option for making a dimension without making its portal. So you can enter in the dimension only with the "switch dimension for entity" event
71-improved switch dimension for entity event
Instead of the id you can choose a dimension like if you choose an item/block
72-advanced spawning
An option for mob that they don't spawn if there aren't the right conditions, like if an achievement /advancement is reached, an item is crafted, etc. Useful for making a Terraria-like hardcore mode.
73-more bullet types (Jarglo33 True's idea)
An option for making if the bullet disappears like snowballs or is not affected by gravity, like fireballs. And also for choosing the range of the gun.
74-when mob hurts entity event (Jarglo33 True's idea)
An event that is triggered when a mob hurts an entity. This event will be used on the hurted entity. It can be useful for making mobs like wither, husk, etc.
75-inverted effects
An option for making a mob have inverted effects, like zombies, wither, enderdragon, etc.
76-event target
Sometimes it's confusing making events that affect more than an entity, so it will be useful if when you are making an event for entities will be specified which entity will be targeted. Also, if multiple entity could be targeted, you can choose the target. (for example, in the event of the idea 74,for choosing if the mob that hurts the other mob will be affected, or the other mob. Useful for making vampires XD)
77-smart events tab
Sometimes for fixing a simple error you need to remake all the events, and it takes lots of time. An event tab like RPG Maker MV will make things easier. Edit, copy, paste, cut, select all commands and and undo/redo button will be useful.
78-when tool is broken (Tuki 812004's idea)
An event executed when the tool is broken. Useful for making pickaxes with multiple stages with different stages, like the Defense Block. Useful also for recrafting tools.
79-no plants in superflat worlds
For making plants don't spawn in flat worlds
80-custom world biomes
For making custom biomes appear in custom worlds (in the part that you select which biome spawn in the world there aren't mcreator biomes so you can't make worlds that have only your custom biome)

15. its pretty easy to make books.

 

The rest would be usefull, alot of them used to exist, but had to be removed for reasons unkown to me.

The thing I would add to the list is a feature to keep the item and block textures of different workspaces separate.

For decoration blocks (plants) and igniters,

For plants, make a 2D Version of the plant and have it in your creative tab and set it to when it it is placed it is the original block and when broken it's 2D.

For Igniters, How about making the exact same igniter look and have you require to right click it to change it to the real igniter and the non igniter is in your creative tab.

Yeah that's all I have so far, hope it was useful

@#2 I agree, That would be a more conveniant option to keep everything more seperated. Especially if your using a different workspace its most likely for a diffferent mod with diff textures.

For the RF I think that can be used NBT tags. But there aren't features for NBT tags.

A lot of these things can already be accomplished in MCreator without coding or very little if you put forth the effort, meaning there being some challenge to making a good mod, not the mod creator carrying you through the whole process.

#3 a simple stack event for checking blocks to summon a mob is easy, here's a video.

#4 just make multiple creative tabs or separate ones for different things

#13 not sure what you want with this, but if you want to make a structure block just make a block spawn a structure on right click using events

#34 this will take some effort, but make a block check for the structure, like the golem video, too, when achieved the portal blocks spawn in the middle, not transparent real portal blocks, just normal blocks, then some events like "if stepped on > if in dem > go to dem" and mess with it until it works properly.

#35 a simple "when block destroyed with tool, > place structure" and make the structure air will remove land if you want the blocks after the destruction do a lot of check events to add checked blocks into your inventory

#39 making an item, with a "when clicked on block == jukebox > place block jukebox 2 > play sound (sound) > remove disk" and "when right click = jukebox 2 >place jukebox > play sound silence > give disk" basically this will create the illusion of putting a disk in the jukebox, when your really just spawning in another block that makes a sound and removing and replacing an item in your inventory.

#40 this was added in latest update <3

#42 you can use a "spawn particle effect" for this one, just make an item instead of a tool as a sword and you have a "when killed with item" option

#45 just make different blocks, for the Mcreator versions that correspond to Minecraft 1.8, the ID of an item, block, weapon, etc is modName:itemName. For 1.7.2 and before, I don't know. For the 1.8 ones just make the title of the modification you're adding to the mod into the second half of the ID you want for it, and the first half is decided when you export it and put a Mod Name for it. In the test environment, it's testEnvironment:itemName or something. You can see this by pressing F3 and H at the same time, then going into the creative menu. It should show the item IDs and/or numbers and NBT values.

#46 make a "when (blank) > remove (block) > Place (NewBlock with new texture, just give same name in game)"

#49 make structures like islands that spawn in the end with the ones you want or a structure (the ore vein) that spawns underground and doesn't clear blocks for air.

Thanks, you have lots of cool ideas!

#4 I meant that some features can't be put in custom creative tabs, like eggs and igniters. I know how to do this with coding (I've done this with Mcreator 1.7.3) but I always forget to do it XD.
#13 In 1.10.2 was added a new block obtained only with commands : the Structure Block. With structure block you can import or export buildings and they are saved (if I remember well) into .json files. I think that exporting structures with structure block is the fastes way but MCreator is compatible only with schematics

#4 yes eggs and igniters can be added to creative tabs with simple coding, my apologies for I failed to Understand.

#13 I sure klemen is working on more models and schematic files for importation, but sadly these things take time so we must wait. :P

Tabula works fine and so does techne. Techne website is down but you can still download it from other websites. It still works good.
