Cannot Install Mcreator 1.7.1
Mon, 02/13/2017 - 23:01 (edited)

Every time I try to set up Mcreator 1.7.1 the process fails with this error code and then says it was not able to determine the problem:

Executing gradle command: cleanCache clean setupDecompWorkspace --refresh-dependencies
Microsoft Windows [Version 6.1.7601]

C:\Pylo\MCreator171>cd forge

C:\Pylo\MCreator171\forge>SET JAVA_EXE=%JAVA_HOME%\bin\java.exe
C:\Pylo\MCreator171\forge>SET PATH=%JAVA_HOME%\bin\;%PATH%
C:\Pylo\MCreator171\forge>gradlew -Dorg.gradle.jvmargs="-Xms625m -Xmx2048m" cleanCache clean setupDecompWorkspace --refresh-dependencies
Starting a new Gradle Daemon for this build (subsequent builds will be faster).
FAILURE: Build failed with an exception.
* What went wrong:
Unable to start the daemon process.
This problem might be caused by incorrect configuration of the daemon.
For example, an unrecognized jvm option is used.
Please refer to the user guide chapter on the daemon at https://docs.gradle.org/2.14/userguide/gradle_daemon.html
Please read the following process output to find out more:
-----------------------
Error occurred during initialization of VM
Initial heap size set to a larger value than the maximum heap size
Picked up _JAVA_OPTIONS: -Xmx256M
* Try:
Run with --stacktrace option to get the stack trace. Run with --info or --debug option to get more log output.
Picked up _JAVA_OPTIONS: -Xmx256M
C:\Pylo\MCreator171\forge>
Task completed with return code 0 in 26420 milliseconds

I have already tried the following. None of them worked. :

-Edit the file preferences.conf to increase the range of Xms and Xmx (memory allocation)--When I do this, it gets to starting Extractor in the boot up, statys there for a few minutes, then crashes with pretty much the same output

-restart my computer

-reinstall Mcreator and start from scratch

-defragmented my computer

Other versions of Mcreator work on my computer with no problems.

SOMEBODY PLEASE HELP ME! WHAT DO I DO TO MAKE IT WORK!!!

Please help. I still can't get it to work.

Modify the preferences.conf
Thu, 09/14/2017 - 15:06

Modify the preferences.conf file again. This time lower those values to something lower (like 2, or something) then go into mcreator. Go into the preferences there and drag the top bar to maximum. This should fix your problem and here is why:

In the log it clearly says that the space is more than normal.

If that doesn't work try this: Go into that file it says it's something wrong with in the mcreator files and delete it.

Good luck! If this doesn't work I'm sorry :(
