Why wouldn't you use a mob modelling program for a mob? If techne is giving you errors try Tabula, its basically Techne with more features.
If you don't want to make them yourself then you can always download them online from websites like this one: https://blockmodels.com
Please import your model in techne and export a new .java file.
I actually love this program but life of me I don't understand how to actually make a mob model w/ it, and the optifine tuts aren't very helpful. If you had a link, it would be very helpful.
@Op: I'd try this or some other model editors but if you don't actually want to use an editor and stick to just notepad, use notepad++ or www.jsonlint.com
