How do I create or edit a texture for a Biped mob?

Does anyone know where to get or how to create textures for Biped models?

Are you saying that it's just a player skin?

If you pull a skin off the web and try to use it for a mob, it might not work. If the mob looks like it has the skin's face on the top of its head, then the pattern the skin is in (the download) is the wrong kind. You will find that the skins that don't work and the skins that do have a different pattern in your downloads folder. The only way to find out if a skin will work is to actually download it, then check it out in the folder. This is for biped mods only, I have not tested any others yet. I hope this helps!

So would using nova skin fit into that category? Because I tried using nova skin but it didn't work.

Alright I've figured it out. I used nova skin & rather than using a player or zombie model to texture, I used an armour texture & edited it to fit the texture/skin of the mob that I wanted.

in past when you wanted to replace item texture you were adding new texture with the same name of original texture soo if you want for example change Steve skin than make new skin and name it Char than upload to MCreator this way was working for items but IDK if its still working or if its working for Mobs too
