Is there a way to make blocks drop XP?

Normally in Minecraft, when you break an ore that does not need to be smelted, it drops XP. For ores that need to be smelted, you get XP when you smelt them. Is there a way to do this with MCreator?

(I've already tried spawning "EntityXPOrb" with a Procedure but you get no XP when you pick those up).
