I recently downloaded mcreator 1.8.0 for my MAC (not windows) computer. When I tried to open mcreator.jar, however, it got this funky error message:
mcreator.jar could not be launched. check the console for possible error messages.
can somebody help?
BTW I am using Java 8 8u181.

Sorry for the delay, but I think I found the error on console. I don't know anything about computers, so this is my only guess.
I also can't post the screenshot (because I can only upload URLs) so this is what the error said
12:48:06.438786 Finder LSExceptions shared instance invalidated for timeout.
12:48:07.212120 Jar Launcher LSExceptions shared instance invalidated for timeout.
Also, I tried doing it in the terminal. It was doing good, but the sudo needed a password. I don't know my password cause my parents made a password for my computer that I cannot decode, plus nobody want's to do it for me. BUT there's hope for me! I might get my own password soon! If it works with terminal, that will be great!
Based on this error, your Mac does not have Java 8 JDK installed.
