I wanted to make an animated texture for an item but how do I change the texture for it and I haven't used MCreator procedures for something like this and in fact I only used them for giving achievements for a certain player when they have an specific item in their inventory by just going to the item's (On item creation) and then just put a procedure saying to give the player that said achievement by going to (Player management) and then taking the block that says (Add achievement to provided player - achievement [Your achievement]) and that's it so anyone has some way to animate a texture? (Just as a quick disclaimer I am a starter and all I have done with my mod is add items and achievements and other stuff so I am not like one of those people who know how to work with this program very well.)
EDIT : Ok NP I found a tool to do so.
Go in the section name "Tools".
Click on Animated Texture (I'm not aure for the name.).
After, put your fisrt png texture.
Put your other textures.
You can change the duration of the animation in ticks.
Finally, save your animation, and go create you item, with the new texture. (See the name of the texture).
They removed this feature (At least I think.)
There is no tools section, only MCreator, Workspace, Code, and Console. Why would MCreator do this?
Tools section was not removed. The buttons were just moved. You can find all the buttons under Resources tab in Workspace panel.

Hey, I'm having the same problem you were, I cant find the Tools tab. I looked everywhere in the "Resources" tab and cant seem to find it anywhere. Where did you end up finding it?
The tools tab is not there anymore, these buttons have been moved to the resources tab in workspace.

alright , thank you for the link, it will probably be useful in the future, but i can't find anything on how to do animated textures in the new versions. Everything i find (including in that playlist) just goes int the tools tab and clicks import animated texture, that isn't a thing anymore. Any idea? I'm in the resources tab and I can't find tools.
In the resources tab, there is an add button. Click on it and select animated texture.
For tutorials, make sure they are for version 1.8.3 to have the latest interface.
thank you so much! why would they change something like that though? it seemed to work fine the way it was, now it's just confusing. Thank you again, I've been looking for that for quite a while!
Because this new interface is more logical in a way, but existing users might have trouble as they are used to the old interface. 1.9.0 will make this more logical.

It makes only black texture for me
i have 2 block textures, one animated, one not, and when i apply them to my item model, the animated part is black
