Topic category: Plugins and third-party tools
Hey guys, a few of you know me as BadKaiPanda, well I left for a bit to work and help over at Unofficial Mcreator Discord and while I was there(still am), a few of them had a problem
or complained about the fact the Armor should auto create the recipes from selecting one item, tho this is not something I would use myself they asked for it a lot and for a while before
I left this forum, but since I had a little time on my hands I thought you know what they have really strongly been asking for this I wonder if I could make a tool that will interact with mcreator and create this files for the user.
So the idea was born, MoreCube's templates was created, so I tested with the idea if mcreator will detect these new files and I can update the mcreator json file that tells the UI what elements the I should be able to create a tool what will create these files on the fly, Well good news, after a few problems getting a few of the items to fully register in game but we have already created a Pre-Alpha and is testable over at our discord(here) at this time all Pre-Alpha's are posted there but Public Alpha's/Beta's/Releases will be posted/hosted in it's own website.
But after we had a working pre-alpha I contacted [Klemen], believe it or not the reason I fall out with him as much as I do is not because I don't respect him or don't enjoy is hard work
but it's because I know he can do better, I understand he has other projects and has other things in life, he does understand I respect him, so I had to contact him about this tool.
After a few emails back and forth we agreed that it would be best I come back to the forum and create this very same thread, where I can show off the tool and also point you to where
you can find support and how to get the software, while the software is in Pre-Alpha users are still welcome to use them, but we wont be hosting them in there new home(Soon)
This software will be Windows, I am sorry I don't have a UI element tool that works on all OS's I create this software in Lua What yes there are a few UI tools what are multi OS's but they look bad wxlua is one of them and there is a update to this software what will be changing the UI a lot at this time is only possible on windows. The tool might work under mac in the future if we can get wine and the native OS's file directorys to play nice.
This software is version 0.0.0.2 at this time and only has the Armor Auto Recipe tool, but two new options are been worked on as we speak, one is the oredict registry
so your mod can be used in other mods if they use the oredict and the other one is a recipe updater to change some items to the oredrct so your mod can accept lets
say if you have ruby items you will be able to change it use lets say gemRuby and any other mods using this will let you use there ruby's at this time the software will
extend the 1.8.3 Mcreator back ports wont be out any time soon, updates to support 1.9.0 are planed
Preview - None Programmed UI of 0.0.0.3 like I said this is not linked to code and could change.
As you can see there is no create option here, as this is just a UI view.
The home page will be http://morecube.tooldraw.uk/
Bug reporting and function requests http://wiki.tooldraw.uk/bugs
Faster support or unofficial Mcreator Support [General] - [MoreCube]
Windows Only - Not signed, this wont affect anything but if windows blocks it we will explain how to access it, windows loves to make people pay a lot to sign
software.
Please note this is a very early program and I am only making this when I have time.
Very Good to see that, Addons/Dlc for MCreator, Hope to see more coming soon or Updated
And nice to see you recreated a New Account so you now forgot all bad things BadKaiPanda said and start a new NavaRayUk
i don't regret a thing I said, the reason I asked for that to be removed was so I can support the community better, but to support the community with this tool I kind of need a account here also, so sadly you wont see me replying to other posts here, I already stopped myself a few times lol, but everyone can find me over at the discord channel :P
I will consider adding support for actual plugins in MCreator written in Java, so the plugins can be loaded from MCreator and integrated in it. But for now, this is just an idea.
I believe it would be a good move, I now you was thinking of adding it in 2x so having it on your mind at lest is a good thing, or making it a little easier for apps like mine to hook in officially lol
But people asked for something I wanted to make something lol and I will try support every version of mcreator as much as I can :)
Thank you for the feedback. I already am working on making the whole MCreator more modular and thus "modder" friendly, but I might focus on this even more in the future.
One of such steps was JSON mod element format instead of old binary format.
This is epic!
Good work ;)
This is early work lol but thanks feel free to pop over to the discrod if you want to test the pre-alphas out.
I really do like what's being done here... and honestly I can't wait for OreDict to be apart of this little mod!!! Will definitely be using, and I'll 10/10 be joining the Discord :D
The ore dict is almost done, but I am not feeling awake or great to day so rather then try code and mess it all up I will do more work later this week/next week it's only a few days delay but I rather get it to work right, rather then going back and fixing code errors just because I was two tired lol
Creating your item to be part of the OreDict now added to the tool, the new pre-alpha will be on the discord in about 20 mins to a hr.
0.0.0.3 with basic oredict support as now been added to your discord, please feel free to come test it.
Discord [HERE], remember to read the #rules there first, all rules apply to the #morecube channel as the rest of the Unofficial Mcreator Discord
Report all bugs there or on my bug tracker[HERE]
There placeholders at the moment but thanks.
This software is now closed, why? well simple we are no longer needed :) all the options we added Mcreator will now soon support, thanks for the support by the users that liked MoreCube, but since the software was a stop gap there is no longer need for our software. MoreCube is now a community of one of the most biggest MCreator Discords around.
