Topic category: Feature requests and ideas for MCreator
When I make a GUI in MCreator, I keep on struggling on the procedure part of it, I get confused on the logic and the complexity of the procedure blocks when I work on it myself and when I watch a video.
That's why I want to suggest a feature which works like this
When you create a GUI and add input and output slots as well as binding it to a block, you can save the GUI and then write a procedure to open the GUI when you right click the block.
Once you are done that, you can save your GUI but instead of writing the procedure for the GUI, you can go to "add a new mod element" and go to "recipe". When you go to recipe your GUI will appear and then you can put in the items you want in the slots that you created.
When making a GUI with a button you might need to make a procedure but still! I would like this to be a feature as it would make modding a lot more easier!
We might add this in the future, but for now, I suggest you to check our wiki page on how to make GUIs with slots: https://mcreator.net/wiki/making-guis-slots If your GUI does not work after watching the tutorial, you might want to check our example workspace and build from there: https://mcreator.net/modification/42649/fusion-table-procedure-demo
