so i have created alot of beds, chairs and furniture and now i need to figure out how to being able to sit in a chair or lay in a bed. is there some easy trick to this? keep in mind i am a beginner with mcreator. i have only used it for at few days by now but it seems like a powerfull tool :)
MCreator doesn't let you alter player animations by default, but there are plugins for it. (It's called Goldfuscate? I think?) You would install the plugin from the MCreator website, though keep in mind that most plugins won't function on a normal client of minecraft. (You would need to tell your users to also download that plugin's library mod.) Geckolib, for example, is a great plugin for (non-player) entity animations, you just also need to have the Geckolib mod installed if you want it to function on normal minecraft.
i do have Geckolib and its amazing but i cant figure out how to add the sitting feature to the chairs i add with geckolib.
The problem is that geckolib can't target players, only regular entities. You need a separate plugin for player animations.
Goldfuscate is unfortunetly not updated for 2023.4. i am checking this out but i dont think this will help me either https://mcreator.net/plugin/91302/animations :D
Maybe? Player animations are tricky, might be worth waiting until one updates, but it’s up to you. Good luck!
How about this? https://mcreator.net/plugin/91396/player-animator-forge-1192
