dependent mod not loading correctly after being added

so ive added a mod as required however it wont load that mod when i put it in the mod folder. its a 1.20.1 mod and it passes the dependent check but wont load the actual mod am i missing something?

When you add a dependency to your mod, that means you also have to download that mod from curseforge. (It's installed automatically on the test client, but not on the exported version.) If you're using MCreator's geckolib plugin, for example, once you export your mod you also need to tell your users to download the Geckolib mod on curseforge.
