I need help with vanilla crops dropping custom items!

Basically I am still kind off an beginner and I want to make a "Picher Carrot" that gets dropped by a stage/age 4 pitcher crop.

I tried making a procedure that drops it when a pitcher crop gets destroyed but that did drop it but it also dropped the seed (Pitcher Pod) so you could bascially duplicate it.

Now I am kind off out of ideas already, so instead of breaking my mind over that i am asking for help!
