Custom Entity kill multiple entity's at time

I'm going to give all the details:

 I'm making a sword that, when you right-click, summons spikes (which are an entity) that disappear after 7 seconds. They work very well. The only problem is that when several entities pass over the spikes, the spikes only hurt one entity at a time. Do you know a way to make it hurt all of them simultaneously?
