Eating has different effect when you have potion

I made a joke mod about cheese, and I want to make a potion effect where you are lactose intolerant. And what I want to happen is when you either eat cheese(custom item) or drink milk, you die or something. I'm rather new to mcreator so if this is something easy to do, my bad.
