Should i make a Forge mod or a Fabric Mod or Other

I want to make a mod that adds blocks and items from the backrooms so I can make a map for it but I don't know what Mod Loader I use.
There's: NeoForge, Forge, Fabric, Quilt.
And there's also Spigot For plugins.
I don't know the difference between all of these.
Can you help me out on this one, please?

This is mostly personal decision and decision like with what mods you may want to pair your mod.

Yeah, the generators are pretty similar. Forge is an older modloader, so it's got a bit more backwards compatibility with other mods; I've heard fabric tends to be a bit more versatile, and I haven't personally tried neoforge or quilt, they're both newer. With MCreator, it's also not super difficult to make versions for multiple modloaders, most mod elements are cross-compatible.

I personally use Forge, but just because some of the mods I want to include in a modpack also use forge. Klemen's right, it's kind of just a matter of preference.
