3d Projectile model

Hello! I am currently making a small mod  that features a 3d model with a spear-type object that works like a trident. The problem im facing is that my 3d model wont show up in the "Projectile model" section. i'm unsure if i did something wrong or if i need to make a new model or edit somehting. help would be appreciated.
