I have recently started a mod that adds insects of the Hymenoptera order( Ants, wasps, and bees) As these are social insects that live in hives I assume that adding them would be similar to bees. I would like to make their hives contain 20 ants and every 30 days there is a chance for either the colony to expand if it is getting enough food or to have a bunch of queen fly out and start nests in new locations. I would have different species that eat different things. Carpenter ants would eat wood. Honey ants would eat honey. Pharoah ants would live in the desert and consume sweet things. Army ants would march around the forests and try to eat everything they come across. Papers wasps would start their colonies in trees and rather than produce honey would make paper. Hornets would go out and look for other insects and will attack anything that hits it nest. yellow jackets would hang around the player when they have food in their hand. I would want to use bats as a means of population control where they would fly out at night and hunt any arthropods and if they fly over your crops they pollinate them as they would bees. If you place bathhouses above your crops you can collect their guano as well as them pollinating your crops. My curiosity is about how the beehives function
