How would I turn a Minecraft mod for 1.11.2 to 1.7?

I have created a mod for Minecraft 1.11, but I would like to make a version of it for 1.7 also, is there I way I could do this? Or would I need to start from scratch? The other thing is, how would I update the mod for when Minecraft 1.12 comes out?

you can only update mods to newer versions of Mcreator, so you could go from 1.7 to 1.11 but not the reverse. Sorry
