Hi there everyone,
I have created my mod using Mcreator 1.7.5 .I have created a block with grass textures,plants with tree textures and a block 3D dog model,I have downloaded minecraft forge 1.11.2,exported my mod to desktop and then located the minecraft file using %appdata% and put my mod in the mod file.However when I click test the mod I cannot see the my Mod. Am I doing something wrong ?
This is my first time doing this so I have no idea on what I am doing,Any help will be helpful ?

Is the mod file zip or java? If you put a zip mod into the mods folder it wont work, however a Java file will work
You can change the file type when exporting the mod from Mcreator
I was using Zip file, will try it with Java thanks
I have tried it with jar file and its still not showing up
Double check the versions of the mcreator mod and minecraft forge. If one of them is the wrong version it wont show up. Make sure both of them are 1.11.2.
I tried using the export to local minecraft unders the tools pannel and then running it.Still no luck
I see it in the mod folder in forge as 1.11.2
Have you tried any other mods to see if they work.
