block's custom models
Sat, 08/11/2018 - 22:53 (edited)

I have some furniture designed with Cubik Studio (multiple blocks size), I can place that designs with a resource pack replacing vanilla blocks, but if I undertood well I cannnot use Mcreator for place them because when I add a custom made block to my mod it litterally must be a block in size?

You can, here's how to do it…

You can, here's how to do it:

  1. You click on the "Block render type" drop-down menu and select "Custom"
  2. You click on the "Custom 3D file" drop-down menu and select "JSON model definition" if your model is a Json file (it should be if you made it with Cubik Studio and replaced vanilla blocks with it)
  3. You click "Import 3D model" and choose your file
  4. You click on the square box and choose your texture
  5. *If you have a transparent texture click on the "Transparency type:" drop-down menu and select "CUTOUT"

Also the name is not…

Also the name is not appropriate to the question, it should be something like "custom model for block" since structures are buildings that randomly generate with defined parameters(settings, rules). You are also able to create structures with Mcreator but you also need MCedit to select and export the schematic(building as a file).

You're right with the name. Thanks for indications, I was doing that but had a permissions problem, now solved.
