Topic category: Feature requests and ideas for MCreator
The newest version of MCreator (1.7.9) sucks, thats why I use 1.7.3
Here's some things that I would like added to the latest version.
-Armor recipes (So you dont have to make 4 new elements just to make armor)
-Shapeless crafting setting in ALL recipe makers (blocks, items, armor, recipes, ect.)
-Smelting more than 1 amount of output items
-Color picker tool in texture maker
-Edit existing Slots an Components in GUI editor
-Multiple textures for mobs (like villagers or rabbits)
-New Mod elements (Vehicles, Chests, Pistons, Sticky Pistons, Redstone Wire)
I hope you add these.
some of these are realy usefull
Full support on all of these
1- No. Also, you need 6 recipes for armor, not 4 (because you can place ingots for helmet and boots in 2 different ways - unless you make armor craftable in a way different than vanilla).
2-No. They removed recipes from block/item/tool/etc. elements, so you need to use the recipe element instead.
3-No. There aren't multiple outputs in vanilla furnace. You can make a new custom furnace using procedures instead.
4-This one is actually a good idea, however I suggest using Paint.net or Gimp instead
5-No. Vanilla mobs don't have multiple textures. They are mob variants that are stored in nbt data, they aren't just skins. For example, rabbit's "texture" affects breed and villager's "texture" affects trades.
6-No. This is actually the worst suggestion. You can suggest a feature to make pistons, redstone wires, etc. possible to make, but you can't just ask for a "Piston/redstone wire" element. Also, Chests are already possible to make.
Developers won't add random elements that do something that can already be achieved using others elements. MCreator is a tool for making mods without coding but also for learning code, it will never become a tool that automatically does everything for you.
Also, most people think that 1.7.9 is the best update and it actually is. The procedures just make everything possible without needing to code. It's true that they are a bit harder than events, but when you learn them, they are very easy to master and become a lot easier than events. If you never try to use them, you'll never learn :(. Also, remember that you can always ask to the community for some help.
(Sorry for bad English)
the only procedures I see are in the mob AI and in elements saying "no procedure" so I have no clue how to create procedures.
