Topic category: Help with Minecraft modding (Java Edition)
I like mcreator and would like to continue using it but I have 3 questions that if don't get answered soon then I will have to find something else. My first problem is where is attack on collide everyone says that to make a mob attack you, you need to add attack on collide but i can find it anywhere and is causing huge problems with my mobs. My second question is I want to use structures and i've been using mcedit but I can't figure out a few things about mcedit.
1. I found a post saying if you export custom blocks they will still work but it doesn't show it in the edit section for your world but when I tried instead it just made all the blocks dirt
2. when I put something in a chest or put a bed it doesn't load the bed or the items in the chest
My third question is I done my research and figured techne will not work unless you had it before it shut down and i've been using MCSKIN3D but you can only select already made mob shapes and not even all of the shapes also when I made a project it mangle it up making everything backwards. Please respond as soon as possible.
1. Use structure block (use /give @p structure_block) and it will work.
2. Again, use the structure block and it will work.
3. Techne is no longer updated. For mobs, use tabula. For blocks, use Blockbench.
The mob "attack on collide/attack on melee" AI task can be found in the combat tab
thanks for all your help I played raolcraft omega and it was awesome
how do you paint?
in blockbench?
when you say /give structure block do I use it in mcedit or minecraft
In minecraft.
The structure block is a block for creative mod that was added in 1.10 update. You can obtain it using /give @p structure_block or similar commands if cheats are active.
To learn how to use it, go to the official minecraft gamepedia or watch a video.
(PS: you don't need mcedit if you use the structure block!)
Thanks for all your help :)
