I am currently trying to make some ores that spawn exclusively in a new dimension i made. this dimension uses the over-world preset with a few unique biomes and i am unsure if i can use to spawn ores just in this dimension alone without having them spawn in the over-world as well.
We are able to spawn ores in biomes that we want.
From what I can tell, it is possible, but only with the "Nether" preset as of 1.8.2. Basically create your ore, but don't make it spawn the overworld/nether. When you get to making the dimension, there's a spot where you can select what ore you'd like to spawn in the dimension (If said dimension is using the Nether-type generation), otherwise it won't show up from what I've experienced.
A different way you can do this is to use structures that spawn in the dimension only. Just make a few different types of veins using your ore, then save them and import the structure to MCreator. When you make your dimension there's a tab that allows you to add structures specifically to your dimension, but I do not know if you can make them spawn solely underground. I'm sure there's a way though!
Thanks for the help, i was hoping to avoid adding the ores in as structures but it'll do just fine. thanks again
