Issue with downloading and running mods

So, I used a website that converts .mcr files to .jar files for my friend. They both tried the .jar and the .mcr files i put in my mod download. They tried both files. When they loaded up MC forge, none of the mod contents appeared. I want to know how to fix this bc my friend wants to use it in a modpack. My mod is called Mo' Ores mod (v.1.2.0 Gemstone Update)
