Trouble with Armour and Ranged Weapon

Hey! Sorry been making a mod and it seems that there are few things preventing me from doing what I would like to. MCreator 1.8.2 btw - 1.8.3 isn't working on my Mac and yes I've tried all the solutions.

So I have been trying to make a ranged item, and I have before in this same workspace for this same mod but for some reason now I cannot select anything or read anything or get past this second screen of the Ranged Item making process. here is a link https://imge.to/i/gIRHr

Then secondly, when i try to make armor where it says "name of texture file" it does not load any texture to select? This means I cannot create the armor :(
