Okay, I'll get on with the tutorial.

for some reason not understandable to chips and humans(but endermen and sphaels understand it perfectly), mcreator automaticly adds 4 damage to the damage of the sword, and 1 for the other tools. Confused? Me too. Let's look at a example:

say that you want a sword with 13 damage. But you can't type in 13. The damage has an offset of 4, which means the actual damage of your sword will be 13+4=17. So you probably know how to fix it. Type the damage to 13-4, which is 9(chips do math really well XD) .

Same goes with the other tools, except the offset with them is 1 instead of 4.

Endermen know the reason…

Endermen know the reason because Nuparu told them :P

Anyway, like you said, what you set in MCreator is the harvest damage, and it has to be summed with an offset.

Before Minecraft 1.9, you could just give the same harvest damage to all tools and they would get automatically balanced using the offset (for example you could use the offset 3 to make a diamond-like tool tier), but the combat update completely changed attack and added attack speed.

This means you should do a bit of trial and error :P

(and lol, I know 1.9 was released years ago, but it still seems "recent" to me)
