So I've found a couple posts about random events and I tried to understand them the best I could. I will link my procedure below. But everytime the event is triggered, nothing happens. A random potion effect is supposed to be selected. If I'm doing anything wrong, please tell me as I don't know a lot about procedures, I just used my basic knowledge of math to create this. Thank you! (I really need this for my mod btw)

Hi! This is probably way too late but good for others looking by. Try doing a procedure with on player tick update as trigger. Then, take an if do block. In the if block, put in the ”Random number between - and - included” block (think it is called). Put it in a logic equals block in the left hole. In the right hole put in a number block with 1. In the random included block you can put 1 and in the right number put how many ticks (like for example 1 in 2600 is 1 in 2600 ticks) Keep in mind that the procedure runs every tick so it should be a high number if you want 2-6 days. Then put in the do block whatever you want it to do. Hope this helps!
