Overlay Image Distortion??
Tue, 09/24/2019 - 02:03 (edited)

Hi! I need help with modding Mcreator. When I go to make an Overlay and I input an image, It becomes strangely distorted. I even got the hunger Icon from MC and edited it, and it still got distored. I did the same for the bubbles aswell. What ends up happening is the icon gets smaller and becomes misshaped/cutoff on one side. Anyone have any ideas?? Thanks for reading!

If you have an image 16 by…

If you have an image 16 by 16, it will shrink to 8 by 8. This is because overlay images are downscaled to half the size.

Make sure that when you are creating an overlay, you double the size of your original image before using it.

Did this help?

Yes! Thank you! I am just curious: Why would the hunger and bubble icons in the minecraft files be 16x16 and in game also show up 16x16. Kinda strange. But thank you for the reply, It is great help!
