I am trying to make an overlay image in Minecraft to go over your screen when you have a helmet equipped that is similar to when you are underwater. However, an overlay makes a tiny image and GUI freezes you (can't move or do anything). Is there a solution for this?
Which version? In 1.9.1, you can set an overlay base image whose purpose is exactly for your use case.
Yes, 1.9.1 I tried doing that with the base texture of the water overlay with modifications (16 x 16 -> 32 x 32, Hue changes, re-texturing, alpha changes, etc.), and it turned out as a cube in the corner of my screen. What size should it be changed to for it to be able to cover the screen then?
I figured out that 2056 x 2056 works, but now the hotbar and effects are hard to impossible to see.
Try changing render priority.
I tried every rendering priority. It still hides the hotbar and covers the effects.
