If i wanted to upload my mod on curseforge, do i have to credit Mcreator on the website if i credit it in the mod description? If so, which tricks can i use to hide it (some people hate Mcreator and seeing "made with Mcreator" is an instant no for them)?
You have to credit them. But I dont know about hiding it.
you can't hide made by mcreator, it's against the terms of use
you can just add some small text says made from mcreator mod maker: https://mcreator.net/
what i mean by hide is making it so that it will be on the website, but it will not be visible at first (like crispy_chips's advice)
I hope you understand this would be against our terms and you will get reported to the Curse forge at least.
We do plan to change the license later this year but for now these are the rules.
if people can see it clearly and it is not in the spoiler section, it's okay
Um, If someone just hide all credits and post on some site
What will happens?
i really wish we did not have to credit you guys for our work it just sucks it just lowers the value of our mods can you guys please change that please
The new versions of MCR you don't need to credit anyone as long as it's the newer version your using, it's been changed a while ago.
Learn how to do it without MCreator then ?
This tool is a beautiful software, imagine someone using for free your creation and wanting to remove your name on it.
Imagine being such a bad person.
