tools have 0 or negative attack speed

tools have 0 or negative attack speed

so, i'm making a tool mod, but some of my tools have a negative attack speed, which cannot be changed. i tried removing the item, then adding it back in (with the same name) but it STILL had a negative attack speed! how do i fix this?

Release notes

  • Minecraft 1.12.2 is not a legacy version and 1.14.4 is the next LTS version to follow the Minecraft Forge's LTS versions
  • Attack damage parameter is no longer offset so existing values need to be corrected (see #55543)
