My first mod!

Greetings! I've only had Mcreator for a couple days now, and the video showcase was recorded last night.

Heres a list of everything I want to add to the game, a lot of which I already put in the mod, and some of which I haven't even tried yet.

- Mobs -

  • Dragons
  1. Tamable via feeding a lamb chop and a golden apple
  2. Semi-hostile. A wild dragon will attack a player when nearby unless they’re holding an end crystal in the off hand.
  3. Several breeds/scale patterns.
  4. Rideable via a saddle
  5. Controlled flight
  6. Their breath can be used either as a weapon or can be harnessed to smelt exotic materials
  7. Armor for dragons can be made from draconic steel, diamond, or netherite
  8. Can be breed by the player.
  9. They’re most docile in a 12x12x12 or larger room.

  • Irradiated Zombies
  1. Zombies turn into irradiated zombies when they stand within a 15 block radius of a placed refined fuel rod for 20 seconds regardless of whether or not the rods are in a reactor or not.
  2. They poison the player upon striking the player.
  3. They have a particle effect.

  • Custom NPC’s
  1. Ability to add skins to individual NPCs.
  2. Dialog options can be set by the player.
  3. Behaviors can be set by the player .

- Materials -

  • Draconic steel
  1. Can be created by combining 8 iron ore with dragons breath.
  2. Used to craft draconic armor for dragons, as well as the player.
  3. Condenses to blocks.

  • Titanium
  1. Can be smelted in a furnace.
  2. Condenses to blocks.
  3. Spawns between y 30 and 45
  4. Used as an ingredient for high power machines

  • Niobium
  1. Condenses down to ingots, not to blocks.
  2. The ingots can be crafted into niobium wire that can be used in high power machines.
  3. A standard full power redstone signal can travel up to 30 blocks on a single line of niobium wire before it dies out.
  4. Wire can be placed like a normal block, and connect to blocks and other wire pieces in all directions.
  5. Can be found between y 25 and 40.
  6. Any red stone component can be powered via niobium wire. It acts as a more expensive alternative to redstone but with more specific uses.

  • Sapphire
  1. Used as an ingredient in hardened glass.

  • Hardened glass
  1. Requires 4 Sapphire gems and 5 glass blocks.
  2. Used for high power machines.
  3. Can be crafted into panes for other machines.

  • Thorium
  1. Spawns between y 30 and 45.
  2. Can be smelted to become Refined Fuel

  • Refined fuel rods
  1. Used in a nuclear reactor.
  2. Produces a little light on its own.
  3. Can be stacked on top of each other when placed
  4. Requires 2 refined fuel items and one smooth stone slab to craft.
  5. Can be placed by dispensers.

- Tech -

  • Power extractor
  1. A block that is placed in the chamber walls of a reactor.
  2. Extracts the energy produced by refined fuel rods.
  3. Requires a beacon, 2 hardened glass blocks, and 6 titanium ingots.
  4. Creates a beam exactly like that of a beacon that points in any direction.
  5. Beam doesn’t activate unless there are fuel rods inside the reactor, and a signal convertor or a beam director is placed at the end of the beam length.
  6. Beam can pass through any colored glass blocks but not through other transparent blocks.

  • Beam director
  1. Redirects the beam of a power extractor.
  2. Requires titanium ingots, 2 hardened glass blocks, and an ender pearl.
  3. Right click to change the direction of the beam.

  • Signal converter
  1. Converts the beam signal from the power extractor into a powerful red stone signal that requires niobium wire to harness.
  2. Signal strength is twice that of red stone block.
  3. Requires an end crystal, hardened glass, niobium ingot, and 6 titanium ingots.

  • Reactor *This is a structure, not a block*
  1. Requires a minimum of 4 refined fuel rods, placed in the corners of a 3x3 square in the center
  2. A chamber of at least 2 block space between the rods and the walls of the chamber. Redstone components do not count for this radius.
  3. There must be water within a 2 block radius of the fuel rods regardless of redstone components being within that radius.
  4. Walls of the chamber can be made of iron blocks, titanium blocks, or hardened glass.

I plan on adding more devices to the game so that I actually have a use for reactors and not just as a convoluted Redstone block. I'm a complete amateur when it comes to this stuff. I've only really figured out how to add blocks, items, and recipes to the game. Any help or advice would be fantastic but don't feel pressured to do so.

The video was recorded at 1:30 in the morning so please forgive the odd wording and mis-clicks.
