I got MCreator 2020.4 yesterday. When I used the "MCreator 2020.4 Windows 64bit.exe" file it went through the installation process and installed it. Then, after I closed it, I tried to go back in. The .exe file makes me go through the installation process (which I didn't do because I was scared it might delete my mod I worked on for a while). When I tried to run the "mcreator.bat" file it doesn't do anything.

Lol...you're trying to open the installer again. That's not the program. The MCreator.exe file is located in your Program Files/Pylo/MCreator. That's the main program launcher.
When I open up the .exe file called "MCreator.exe" it opens the 2020.2 version
Then you never really installed 2020.4. Run the installer again, let it do it’s thing (it will have to delete the old version, your workspaces will stay), then try.
Yeah I did it I think it works now. Thanks! :)
Awesome, glad you got it!
Wait. I closed my MCreator 2020.4 and reopened it and the exe file took me back to mcreator 2020.2. The .bat file didn't do anything and the instillation exe file is the only other file
Did you by any chance install 2020.4 over 2020.2 without uninstalling 2020.2 first?
When I downloaded 2020.4 (which I have done multiple times as there is no other way to open it) it auto uninstalls the older versions right?
And now when I search up MCreator in my search bar (on windows computer) it just shows the installer, no other files
Remove all MCreator files, reboot computer and do a clean install then
Will that delete my old workspaces? And how do I find the files?
Nevermind. It works now. I now have an app called "MCreator" which opens 2020.4
