I'm trying to make a flying mount but i can't control it's velocity

Hi guys! I'm a new modder and i wanted to make a flying turtle... But when i mount it, i can walk with my turtle but can't fly (I made my turtle a flying mob already). Someone can give me an advice about how to make a ascend and descend button for my turtle?
