Trouble with Model Animation Definition Wizard

Hello, I have been trying to make a custom entity with a custom model I made have animations. When I attempt at using the Model Animation Definition Wizard I select a preset animation and press "Set new animations" When I do this it "rewrites" code, but when I load the menu back up again for my model it hasn't saved. I have tried loading up the mod to see if the animations save and it just isn't displaying, but that hasn't worked either. Any information as to why this is is much appreciated. The model is a .java file, my Mcreator version is 2021.1.18117. If I need too screenshot anything to help with information I will do so.
