Trying to make a consumable enchant items in inventory upon usage, doesn't seem to work. What am I doing wrong?

Trying to make a consumable enchant items in inventory upon usage, doesn't seem to work. What am I doing wrong?

Hi, haven't used MCreator in a while, and was pleasantly surprised by the abundance of new features. Figured I'd give it another whirl, except I can't quite figure out the procedure. I have an image attached of how I think it should work.

Upon consumption I want the game to scan the player's inventory for one of the items, giving the ones on top priority, and replacing the first one that it finds with an enchanted version, or better yet, enchanting the already existing item. How do I do that? I already gave it a shot, but doesn't seem to work in game. What am I doing wrong?
