Workspace Setup Failed 2021.2 macOS (please help)

I've been looking for a solution for 2 days and I haven't found anything useful. i looked at the gradle fail help page or whatever its called and I couldn't understand anything from it so that didn't help. i looked throug as many forums as i could but most of them either weren't for the right version or computer. I've tried reinstalling, rebooting my computer and nothing helped. Most of the "fixes" involved finding the .mcreator folder and going to the gradle folder and deleting the cache but I don't have a .mcreator folder so of course that didn't work so now im stuck im in the middle of making a mod that i've spent months on and i don't want to loose all of my progress now. please help.
