So I heard of this program Mcreator. I thought it would be cool so I looked at the page. But as I saw 1.16.5-1.17.1 I cringed. I thought they would support mods 1.7.10-1.17 but they had to stick with 2 versions of the game mod based people don’t prefer. 1.12.2 is a very lightweight version so it is better. But I hate that you have to use a generator to play your mod in 1.12.2. Unexcepted, there can be a better feature where you can pick through versions and not the only ones. But I haven’t tried it out yet is the point so idk what the experience is.
Cringe? 1.16.5 and 1.17.1 don't have that much mods because they came out this year. 1.12.2 is an old version which means there were MANY more mods created for it. Also if you think mods for the newer versions aren't good then at least get used to them. The generator is OK and if you don't want to use it then you can't make mods for 1.12.2. (by the way i'm not mad at you or anything. just saying.)
Just add the plugin for mcreator so you can make mods for 1.12
