Topic category: Help with Minecraft modding (Java Edition)
So I finally restored a mod I had lost for a few months, and opened it. I did quite a few things and decided to test my mod and clicked run client... Minecraft opened and immediately closed after a split-second, giving me an error "Finished with non-zero exit value 1"
Here's the things I tried:
Redoing the gradle task
Regenerating code
Restarting mcreator
Clearing cache file
Clearing gradle file
Looking for ! marks on any of my mod elements including elements, textures, models, etc.
None of these worked for me. By the way, I was doing fine and it didn't give me any errors when I was editing the project, it only gave me this error when I pressed run client.

Thanks!
Edit: With V 2021.3, it gave me a different error.

Don't worry about finished gradle task in 10 hours, I think it counted the time I left my computer off after I started the gradle task.
This time, it lasted until I had just pressed create new world, it just said "saving world" and closed. I saw a few other people with a similar issue, and I saw that there was some characters other than 0-9 or a-z for their textures or something, but I checked mine and none of them had any issues. At least, I don't think so.
Thanks!
Nvm, fixed the problem! All I did was deleted the entire config file. Turns out it wasn't really a mcreator problem, it was a forge problem.
Where did you find the config file?
I'm a little late here but where is said config file? I have the same issue
