Xp=rank At certain xp levels, depending on whether you're a demon or a human, you get new ranks. For human, your typical ranks: Average Human Newbie Swordsman Demon Slayer rank: Mizunoto, mizunoe, etc. And then you reach hashira as your highest rank. For demon: Newbie demon Average demon Strong demon Extreme demon Peak demon Lower moon 6, 5, 4, etc. Upper moon 6, 5, 4, etc. And then you reach upper moon 1 as your highest rank.
