Spawn basic blocks in my custom stone

This to me sounds like a dumb question but here it goes, I have a custom dimension with a custom set of stone, how would I go about spawning "minecraft:blackstone" or "minecraft:calcite" for example without disrupting the original minecraft blocks, or adding another block. I just want to spawn it in like you would an ore.
