2023.1, "one or more of your main mod files did not compile properly" error when mod includes ANY custom blocks

2023.1, "one or more of your main mod files did not compile properly" error when mod includes ANY custom blocks

Since updating to 2023.1, I haven't been able to launch any of my projects that had custom blocks in them.  I've tried this with mods updated to 2023.1 and new mods created in the update.
