Item/block Problem's

I have been making an item in the shape of a block. It looks fine in 3d person, but when Im in first person the block item is almost the size of the player model, and this is also the case when I drop it on the ground. I don't know how to fix this on my own. To give some context on the situation I made a block model with Block bench and turned it into a Json file to make the item look like a block. If anyone can help me make it the same size all the time that would be great.
