I want to make a simple but realistic companion for people who find single-player boring with only one person. I want to do something similar to the Infamous (and banned) [redacted] mod, but without the nsfw content (and obviously with a different character).
Basically, I want to make a companion mod where the companions are actually (somewhat) intelligent like the [redacted] mod and I can give items to them and trade with them like villagers.
To be more specific I want to make it for Minecraft Forge 1.12.2

I expected that. I gave up looking for mod generators for this version not too long ago. Kinda sucks because all my favorite mods are in that version and don't have one for later versions of Minecraft.
I have heard some person (don't remember right now, but same person that made some other old-MC plugins) is planning to make the 1.12.2 plugin. If this happens, you can ask them for support when the plugin is complete.
