2023.2 stuck on "Loading UI Themes"

when i open mcreator 2023.2 it shows this

the progress bar is stuck on "Loading UI Themes" and nothing happens, i can't access anything

there is nothing in my /Users/[username]/.mcreator/plugins folder and i don't have any custom themes installed

i tried installing plugins and themes but nothing changed
